With articles that attack the Holy Father like
this one and he still presses on is truly a sign that he is the right man for the job. I am sorry, but this post by
Ruth Gledhill is really a sad piece of work. The international response is coming in and
Phil Lawler takes care of business with his response.

Let us prayer for the Holy Father.
The devil has started his onslaught and we must resist his minions.
The gates of hell will not prevail against God's church.
I am not Roman Catholic, I am Anglican. But I find it incomprehensible, the media's addiction to Catholic church bashing. Yes, child abuse is wrong and should be condemned. But the apparent fixation on the Catholic church is letting other ecclesial bodies of the hook. It's no secret that child abuse occurs more frequently in Protestant denominational churches, but there has been no media blitz on our side of the hedge. This just reeks of hypocrisy and I dare say it, bias against the Roman Catholic church, and now they're trying to drag in the Holy Father for good measure!
Of course, those who testify of the world that its deeds are evil, will be hated by the world. Those who testify most, with no compromise, will be hated as such in return.
I believe it was our old beloved friend, G. K. Chesterton, who said that the world pays the Catholic Church the highest compliment when it refuses to ignore the sins in her, that it will ignore everywhere else.
John, well said! Nothing like Chesterton common sense. I wish God would raise another like him up today!
